But after the event that caused the destruction and reconstruction of Mobius. Light Gaia came out of the star and gave himself a Mobian form to see how all the Mobians are doing after that event. He kept doing this for many many many years, as he eventually met Sonic the Hedgehog who gave him the nickname Chip, as he had no clue that it was Light Gaia himself he was talking to. Even after realizing this, Sonic kept calling him Chip and seeing him as a friend rather than a deity.
