But after Arthur became king, and asked Lancelot to join the Knights of the Round Table, at first he declined the offer, and rather be a kingdomless knight known as The Black Knight. During one of his adventures as The Black Knight, he came across a woman in trouble, after rescuing her, she reveals herself to be Lady Elaine, cousin of the current queen. Overtime they developed a romantic relationship, even had a son together. And thanks to Elaine, Lancelot finally joined the Round Table
