Merlin the wizard, was a mysterious figure. To this day nobody knows where he came from. But something that is known, as that one day he took the orphan Arthur under his care, in a mentor-student relationship. This whould eventually lead to Arthur becoming king. As for Merlin, he became quite lonely over the years, so he decided to adopt a young girl, and made her his daughter. It is unclear if he had any biological relatives, that would lead into the Prower family.
