As on Ice Cap the people was always busy, whether that be collecting food, generating heat for houses or even preparing for the yearly Festival of Light. And the children of Ice Cap always felt that the hardest, as they had to eather help with there parents work, or play without getting in the workers way. This was especially true for Rotor, as his father is the big boss of Ice Cap, so when Rotor was unable to help, he would find intrest in the machinery on Ice Cap, he would study them from a safe distance. At night, rather than staring at the stars like most, Rotor would stare at Robotnik Inc. As his idol is the CEO of the planetoid. But things changed for the better, when during 1 Festival of Lights, Rotor met Princess Sally Acorn and her handheld device, which peaked Rotor's interest. With his technological knowledge, Sally offered him a spot in the Freedom Fighters, which he gladly accepted, his father was sadly to busy to even notice his son left Ice Cap.
