Around the same time Dr. Eggman created Metal Sonic, he had another idea to deal with Sonic, a different method to fight fire with fire. This time by cloning Sonic, luckily Eggman had some of Sonic's smaller quills after there recent battle, and from the cloning process came 2 imperfect clones, 1 of these clones was named Manic. While Manic has a simmilar personality to Sonic if not a bit rougher, he had a completely different different fur and quill color, as well as a Green Power Pattern instead of a Blue one. Even more problematic was that his rougher personality resulting in him stealing from Robotnik Inc. And stared using delicate tech as a drumset. This annoyed Ivo Robotnik so much, that he gave the 2 clones a mission to infiltrate Sonic's home and gather info, just so that he got rid of them. But that to backfired, as Sonic and his clones actually bonded and pratically became siblings.
