Because of that Miles & his twin-sister Zooey were sort of adopted by the Hedgehog family, as Amadeus Prower would take them back home when he was finished working. While growing up with the Hedgehogs, he gained his nickname Tails and learned on how to use his tails & Yellow Power Pattern to fly and viewing Sonic as the big brother he looks up to.
