It may have been a strange way to be introduced to the series, but Sonic Classic Collection for the DS. More specifically, a copy of Sonic Classic Collection on an Acekard 2 that happened to have 24 other games.

@BlueSonikku if were including fan projects, than some really obscure flash game, if not, then sonic generations (still my favorite to this day)
