Black Doom was created by Dark Gaia itself, in order to create followers. As this mission continued, he eventually noticed a perfect soldier for Dark Gaia, even if it would take a several years. As Black Doom went to Space Colony ARK, where he noticed that Gerald was breaking down, as his 2nd greatest creation had no sign of life. But Black Doom used his power of reading minds, to give Gerald his DNA with nothing in return. Due to Gerald being desperate, he did not think twice and shook Black Dooms hand. Turning the little clone, into Shadow the Hedgehog, the perfect soldier for Dark Gaia. And to make sure Gerald or his daughter would not prevent that from happening. Black Doom used the connection he made with Gerald through that handshake, to make Gerald slowly go inside. And to this day, Black Doom is still searching for Dark Gaia followers.
