Anybody else ever think Knuckles' hat in the OVA was kinda… familiar?

Alright.

Anyhoo, a funny idea struck me a few months back of Fang & Knuckles fighting over a hat, since Fang's hat and the once Knuckles wore in the OVA are quite similar… not quite the same but at least similar.

I had sketched this back in August but only just got around to finalizing it.
I did the Lineart on stream last Friday, did the Colors shading & highlights yesterday and then finished up the background today.

I got a little stumped on the background a bit, I knew what I wanted to do but wasn't sure how to execute the idea untill finally, after a bit of goofing around I had my "Eureka!" moment when it all clicked together and I knew exactly what I needed to do!
(And getting a little help from the opinion of a friend helped as well.)

I haven't drawn Knuckles in years either, so this was a fun exercise for drawing him as well, gotta' love Mr. Lego Shoes.

And I can't tell you how many little edits I made to the lineart as I was finishing this up.

These past few months I've been in this awkward creative funk where I've been doing a lot sketching but I haven't been finishing anything.
On top of some other personal things I've had going on I haven't had much creative motivation to get anything done, but for some reason I've felt a creative fire sparking under me this past week.
The motivation I've felt today alone has been really invigorating.
I'm gonna' try to take it easy as not to burn out myself, as have a feeling that was part of the reason for my downward spiral in the first place, but I'm not gonna' let this fire go out easily. :)
