TW: Blood, violence, and slight gore(?)

Tails groaned quietly as he looked down at the floor while he clutched his side in pain. He wasn't supposed to feel pain. This was a dream, and nobody should feel any type of pain whatsoever. Tails huffed and looked up, glaring into the darkness, "What do you want from me?" He questioned. He knew HE was there and it made him mad knowing that he was smiling, even if he couldn't see him, he knew. A dark chuckle emitted through the darkness, making Tails slightly shudder as he heard the heels of boots clacking against the stone floor coming towards him. "Miles, Miles, Miles… At this point I think you knew what I want from you." A male rasped out as he stepped closer to the light, allowing Tails to see that there was another him standing before him. His voice was slightly hoarse, nothing compared to Tails' voice at all. He looked at Tails with his dulled (e/c) eyes and tilted his head, "I mean, you know what I want from you, correct?" He questioned. Tails glared at him and tried to stand, only to groan and fall back on his knees, "I don't know what you want from me. But I want you to leave ME alone." He huffed. The other him huffed and slowly circled him, "I want you to suffer. I want to cause you so much pain you break, and I believe I'm already getting there." He explained with a smirk. Tails watched him carefully as he walked around him, "Who even are you?" Tails questioned. The other him chuckled, "I'm you, of course." He stated and stood before Tails once more. The small fox glared at him, "You are nothing like me." He growled, making the other him laugh as he held his sides. "Obviously. I'm the better one here Miles." He stated and turned around.

"You didn't answer my question! Who are y- ACK!" Tails cried and held his nose after the other him punched his nose. The other him glared down at the fox, "Miles, understand one thing. In this world, you have no power. You are nothing." He stated and crossed his arms. Tails groaned and held his now bleeding nose as he stared at the floor, none of this was right. "This is all some… Messed up dream." Tails tried to reassure him, but the other him laughed. "What makes you think that?" He questioned and looked over somewhere, which made Tails look over as well and was shocked to see Sonic in some glass case. Sonic looked about and banged on the glass, "Hey! Let me out!" He yelled. Tails gasped, "Sonic!" He called out and reached for him, but he was then pushed into the ground with a foot keeping him down. "Now, now Miles, we can't ruin the fun. Not just yet." The other him explained and looked at the hedgehog. Tails groaned and looked at Sonic, gasping when he saw his friend fall through the floor. Everything seemed to freeze for Tails as he heard a blood curdling scream come from where Sonic fell. Tails pushed the other him off and looked through the glass, his eyes widening and tearing up when he saw his friends hand lift up from lava, only for it to fall right off and into the lava, leaving nothing behind of Sonic the hedgehog. Tails then fell to the floor and let the tears fall as he stared at the ground. All of this, it was a dream. It had to be. None of this could be real yet, it felt so real and the pain, it was real to. "Miles, come on now. You'll get over him." The other him stated as he walked over. Tails glared at the other him and tackled him down to the ground, "How could you?!" He screamed and tried to punch the other him, but he grabbed his foster with ease. "Miles, I think it's time you wake up." He stated, then punched Tails in the face, knocking him out.
