Longclaw for a time was once the hero of the planet Mobius, before Sonic was born or raised by Longclaw, before Dr Eggman arrived to the world and in a time where kingdoms turmoiled, technology was in it's infancy and where the people divided themselves with belief, bigotry and grudges that lingered like scars.

She had humble beginnings as a young foreign student in Spagonia University before her current name, hoping to be a librarian and archivist for the records on ancient mobian history, studying on the salvageable lore of Ancient Babylon considered the origin of birds such as her, Gaia religious iconography and myth's of the duological deities of Dark and Light Gaia studied from the Gaia temples and much lost knowledge to the average person. Unfortunately on one of her visits to the library, Longclaw bore witness to it being burnt down for "blasphemous writings." Though she saved what she could, much of it was lost for good with only her to remember it when she prioritised saving a family trapped in the building.

Her actions of bravery led to Owls, much like her finding her and seeing the potential she had hoping to train her, preserved the knowledge she had gathered for generations and to gather perspective. For years she was taught, trained in combat and yet she felt as if the Owls weren't doing enough to protect people despite their valiance so in a rebellious act decided to venture forth before her trials were complete. Though initially struggling, despite no fancy powers she found herself managing to do some real good between deposing the Warlord Kodos the Lion in combat to free the people of Mazuri, battling the Order of Ixis thwarting their attempts to resurrect the founder Mammoth Mogul and bringing aid to the starving and sick across. Though defying the group that taught her, they came to see her way and for her wings of great length and her claws that defeated many a foe had earned her the name Longclaw.

Longclaw would eventually find herself through great hardship between having to frontline the Owls war with the Echidna's who sought to abuse the Master Emeralds power much like it had in the past to wipe out the Dingo Regime that had been their enemies for years, The rise of Rava the Destroyer, her greatest enemy in all her days and years of being a heroine. The lizard was a dispassionate cultist obsessed with Dark Gaia and the Underworld who she couldn't seem to put down despite endless combat over his endless plans, his final yet simplest to ravage the Owl home when warriors like her where away having to deal with the call of others in aid, the sociopathic lizard killing her husband and children with her unable to stop it and only able to watch him take grim trophy's as he left what he turned into a valley of ash and bones. In a grief stricken fury she seemingly killed him for good and shunted his remains inside a now cursed tree in Lost Jungle.

The depths she sunk in grief, the years of war and fighting while it seemed like they couldn't save more and more lives had taken it's toll after the defeat of Rava, the abandoned Echidna tribes being condemned to Angel Island after the Owls had banished the Nocturnes Legions back to the Twilight Cage and just seeing the kingdoms ignore every attempt the Owls made to fix things and help the people merely to prioritise sheer greed, anger and pathetic resentment for their neighbor had sadly finally defeated her…Longclaw escaped it all to go to South Island.



The people were good enough, untouched by conflict or the greater grudges of the other islands, countries or species and with enough solitude to live out. Then one day in her new life on the island, she heard something pierce the silence, a mothers scream and a wailing child. Though her wings carried her far, she was to late to save the mother from being fatally maimed by Echidna Marauder's, the leader holding the child as his entourage took what little possessions she had.



Longclaw had no hesitation in being sure these warriors would do no more harm as memories of her own child in Rava's grip filled her tear soaked eyes and a bird's shriek that countless Echidna warriors heard as they realised what it was to be prey. Her age and inaction had taken a toll with her receiving many injuries, as Locke the leader readied to drive a spear through her, the child in a blur faster then she had ever seen shattered it to pieces as he crashed into an Echidna warrior aiming an arrow she hadn't even caught in her sight and gave her the opening to kill Locke. It'd be impossible not to notice the young hedgehog, a bright blue ball huddled that she gently cradled as if he were her own after the carnage had ended and softly placated the quilled pup in her wings with a song her own mother sung to her.

She'd taken to training Sonic so that he may never be at risk but telling him to hide his abilities for she knew all to well what kind of people would want the potential he had though he never quite listened on the hide his speed part and had given him the nickname Blue Blur much like how she'd been named Longclaw as according to owl culture. While she had family stolen from her, she managed to find it again and led to the best years of her life whether it was having to explain that though he might not be a bird as he initially thought the hedgehog was still her son, managing to find his Uncle to make clothes that'd last for him plus giving closure to his birth, learning with him about the world she has missed as Sonic insisted she come along with him and when he brought a two tailed fox kid with him, she took him in as if he were Sonic's brother and had such pride for Sonic not standing any bullies or oppression he saw.

Despite some hurdles like South Island dealing with the nefarious Dr Eggman that her son proudly defeated in his numerous schemes, even when he unleashed the Death Egg which filled Longclaw with dread she hadn't felt since facing Rava but after some convincing from Sonic they decided to travel as he felt she deserved to see what the world had again and cause the hedgehog knew he had to be proactive with the Doctor still potentially on the loose.

Despite leaving South Island things went south when they visited the Acorn Nation, at the time calling itself the Acorn Kingdom since it still clung to a monarchy despite being long outdated. Things only took a turn for the worse when it turned out Dr Eggman had weaseled himself into King Max's graces enough to pull a coup after rebuilding his forces and driven whoever could escape to Knothole. Longclaw found herself yet again teaching youngsters how to defend themselves, including the Princess Sally who she sussed out Sonic was crushing on. Though often challenged by what she couldn't teach the youth and herself having to learn also, especially dealing with a whole batch of kids now with only Rosie Woodchuck for help.

Eventually over the years dealing with freeing a world under the Doctor's grasp, Longclaw was confronted by a young echidna warrior with great anger in his heart and who'd defeated her in an ambush on Angel Island where the crashed Death Egg was. This Echidna was named Knuckles, he was the son of Locke who she killed saving Sonic's life from. Despite her Son eventually befriending the warrior and bringing peace to Angel Island, it'd take much longer for Knuckles to accept his father's killer in kindness and for her to set aside the crimes of the Echidna people so that they may redeem from their long past of mistakes.

Much after that she helped Tails on his own adventure as he faced the Battle Kukku Empire, a fanatical army claiming that birds were the truly pure as ordained by their Babylonian ancestors and racially superior to the land dwelling denizens. She had to confront them for their perversion of everything she stood for and her fellow owl warriors died for, she'd many years later also have run ins with the avian criminals known as the Babylon Rogues, who earnestly respected and treated her nicely unlike a lot of their opposition….though the leader Jet is to fond of her considering his vulgur your mum comments to Sonic. Still in spite of her age, the worlds many great changes and her never hoping to understand current or really most technology she is still willing to keep being as good a hero for Mobius as she can even as her son, Sonic, has taken the torch.

Personality: A kindly and wise figure as goes without saying from her years of experience and her compassionate drive that led her to seek out to influence, inspire and carry out heroism for the world when she could. Longclaw isn't perfect though with the amount of war, loss and the world refusing to change causing her to be overprotective of Sonic and also very set in thinking what is right. She also is not afraid to be lethal with her enemies though she doesn't want Sonic to bear that burden and she will still champion forgiveness and mercy when it is warranted. Despite that as someone who set to inspire change she is willing to change her own views if it's for the good of others. She is extremely chaste and lives humbly, modern food having no appeal. Despite being of an old time and her struggles to adapt, she isn't a traditionalist as she has seen what clinging to something cause of a decades hearsay has done to the world before and does believe in the generation fixing broken systems and uniting culture.

Likes: Knowledge, Discovering new things, researching culture, her widdle son Sonic and his babu brother Tails, how Sally brightens up her son, insects and small rodents (taste good for her minimalist pallet), Uncle Chuck and Rosie Woodchuck's companionship, flowers and that pure feeling gained from flight.

Dislikes: Rava (Her worst enemy and a destroyer of family), the war crimes of the Echidna people, video games, processed food, war and combat(She fights cause she has to but never cause she wants to), fanatical dogma, Rouge (She thinks she's a bad influence on Sonic that she only tolerates for him), corrupt governments and she despises the Master Emerald for it's legacy on driving the noblest of cultures and people to power lust and stagnation.
