The character interactions imo matter more than the action scenes. Not to say there shouldn't be action (of course there should be), but these moments make me care about the characters.

Nine deserves to have a happy ending. I really wish he would move to Green Hills, finally accepting Sonic's offer. And I think Tails and Nine would get along once Nine gets to know Tails better.
