I always felt the sonic x Japanese version had more weight to this scene, tails was angry at sonic for not keeping his word in keeping Cosmo safe thus why sonic felt he shouldn't comfort him. In the English version tails is extremely upset about the loss of Cosmo and sonic says nothing. While yes the Japanese version did add more weight and reason as to why sonic didn't comfort tails I still feel, all in all, that he should have. I remember watching this and thinking omg…sonic, buddy, you gonna so something???no? Okay…
