Knuckles kept watch from a distance until it was safe to emerge out of the tall grass. There was no way in hell he’d risk being spotted, again; lest he wished to incur his mother’s wrath! Thankfully, the tension seemed to have dissipated soon after Knux made his escape. The shrunken echidna felt lucky to be alive, all thanks to his baby half-brother’s daring intervention.

And with that, Lara-Le and Kneecaps took their leave. Once his mother’s gigantic footsteps drew further away in the distance, Knuckles felt safe enough to come out of hiding. Fortunately, both his mother and sibling hadn’t completely disappeared from sight just yet. Now that he saw what direction they went, Knuckles knew which way was the right path home! At that moment, Knuckles spotted Kneecaps staring in his direction, as the infant echidna smiled and waved at him.

After giving his baby half-brother a hearty thumbs-up, Knuckles recommenced his shrunken journey for home. In addition to following the same path his mother was headed, Knuckles also had the option of tracking Lara-Le’s enormous footprints embedded in the soil; they also served as a grim reminder to approach with great caution. Regardless, Knuckles’ hope and spirit was reinvigorated – ready to face any obstacles head-on!
