Another hour of nonstop trekking through the vast tall grass has gone by, and there still doesn’t seem to be any end in sight! At this point, Knuckles the Echidna is starting to lose hope that he’ll ever make it back home before sundown. Under normal circumstances, the Guardian of Angel Island would have no trouble tracking his way to civilization; however, his current shrunken stature has made the situation a whole lot more problematic.
Everything looks the same from this height; I can’t tell where I am. At this rate, I’m never gonna find my way home before it gets dark. Things couldn’t possibly get any worse!
Poor choice of words on Knuckles’ part, for at that very moment…things certainly took a turn for the worse in the form of a gigantic foot that came crashing out of nowhere and towards the minuscule echidna’s direction! Luckily, Knuckles’ quick reflexes saved him from being crushed like an insignificant insect; narrowly dodging the colossal foot which made a seismic THUD sound as it impacted the soil beneath! This near-death experience gave Knuckles quite a fright, but his fears turned to shocking surprise, when his keen eye recognized the enormous crimson skinned foot adorned in a rustic brown sandal, and draped over a yellow robe. With his eyes opened wide and mouth agate, Knuckles raised his head to fully view the gigantic being towering high above his pint-sized stature!
