So yeah…this is a thing. Uhm…what do I say?

Alright so this is my headcanon for certain Sonic characters.

Tangle and Whisper are such a daggone cute couple…seriously they're just adorable together. I don't really know why this couple appeals to me so much, but they're cute. Someone even made them look like little cat loafs on Twitter and just…ugh…

A lot of people portray them as lesbians though but…personally I think they just happen to be two girls who fell for the same sex…if either of them was a guy I think the result would be the same.

So here's what my personal headcanon for these girls are:

I see Tangle being pansexual. She's very energized, excited and seems to really care about everyone. I'm not saying lesbians don't care about everyone…but I just see this kind of lemur being the type who would love someone regardless of gender. Just because she's a tough girl doesn't mean she's gay either, straight, bi, pan, demi and ace girls can be tough too, why does it just have to be lesbian girls who can kick ass? Some lesbians are feminine too! So I got away from the stereotype a bit, and when I thought about it she just seems very pan to me. I think she could potentially fall in love with anyone really, she just happened to fall for Whisper.

As for Whisper…she's the opposite…very shy…very reserved…keeps to herself…she even has a hard time reaching out to make friends. If it weren't for Tangle, I could easily see her being with Silver. I think she could have potentially fallen in love with anyone regardless of gender or sex, so to me she falls somewhere on the "pan spectrum" so I see her as panromantic. But I don't think she'd be attracted to just anyone, I think she's extremely reserved in that regard…but once a strong emotional connection is made she'd find that person attractive…so I see her as demisexual. So Whisper IMO is a demisexual panromantic.

But what's this? There's another same sex couple here…

I kind of jokingly a long ago made a ship with Mighty and Silver…but in all honestly…I kind of think they look cute together. There's absolutely NOTHING canon about this…but I thought of a story where this scenario could happen. Mighty, regardless of who he's shipped with, is gay in my headcanon. He's really been gay for a long time in my headcanon. Bless his little buddy Ray, he's probably one heck of an ally! Him coming out is one of the reasons he left the Chaotix in my headcanon…a certain crocodile didn't take it very well…and Ray stood up for his friend and left with him. But don't hate on Vector too much, he's a flawed individual and you never know…he might come around. I struggle with homophobia myself, and I'm bi (I'm working on it though…just…please be patient with me. I apologize if I say anything hurtful…I realize I still have some knee jerk reactions to things). Vector would never harm anyone who's gay, though he might blurt out some comments that could hurt someone's feelings. You can be a good person and still have character flaws to work through. No one's perfect.

Silver well…he just needed someone to love him so I put him with Mighty. XD I feel like he had a crush on Blaze but she friend zoned him for Sonic and saw him like a little brother…so he went away heart broken and found Mighty. I don't think he would have fallen for Mighty at first, but if given enough time the two of them would hit it off probably starting as friends…and then something more. I could see Silver being bisexual due to the fact that I could see him attracted to either sex, and likely didn't try for Whisper due to either being too reserved, having responsibilities to the future, or knowing she was already taken by Tangle. Ideally I'd like to think he's still friends with Blaze and Whisper though, and the girls would fully support his relationship with Mighty. Silver's discovery of his bisexuality would be a fun little self discovery.

As for Sonic…I see him as a highly supportive straight ally, Sonic would stand up for and support his friends no matter what because that's the kind of guy he is. So Sonic wears a straight ally shirt (and I know I messed it up so sue me, I tried dammit!) He'd need to at least be straight or bi to love Blaze but in all honestly…I can't really see Sonic with a guy after years of hitting on girls in the old American cartoons and comics. (He had a thing for Sally in SatAM and he fell for Breezie and liked a lot of girls in AoSTH so yeah…he also dated a lot of girls in Archie…yeah I get it we'd all like to forget that one wouldn't we?). After the events of Rush I was sold on Sonaze…you'll never change my mind…but I'll respect your opinion either way on this.

So yeah…feel free to agree or disagree with any of the above headcanons…just remember they ARE headcanons and yours may be different.
