Durian is the son of Mighty and Scourge, created in Tails' lab after he agreed to help them have a child. Using Shadow's creation as a basis for his research, Tails combined Mighty and Scourge's DNA and developed the resulting embryo in an artificial incubator. It was a success, and after a few months, Durian was born. He did not get his name until after his fur grew in, as nobody was sure what colour he would end up being!
